Project Description
Fibres have a beneficial action not only n in the good function of the digestive system but also in controlling body weight. Fibres contribute to our feeling satiated faster which means we consume smaller quantities of food.
Fibres also play an important role in the protection of the heart, since studies show that they contributes to the reduction of blood cholesterol levels. Furthermore, thanks to their property of delaying the digestion process and the absorption of carbohydrates, they limit the increase of blood glucose levels after the meal and consequently help individuals with diabetes (diabetics) to better control their blood sugar levels.
Sources of Fibres are fruit, vegetables, legumes and whole grain cereals. Now with Sweet & Balance we can even enjoy desserts with significant fibres content. Let’s include a variety of foods in our diet that are sources of fibres in order to gain the multiple benefits they offer!
