Project Description
Contemporary dietary guidelines place emphasis not only on the quantity but also on the quality of the foods we choose, because this is the only way our body can receive the nutrients it needs. Even foods like sweets, which have traditionally been identified as a source of fats and calories and according to the perception of many people contribute to the increase of body weight, can have a place in a balanced diet, provided that we know how to choose them.
Two crucial criteria with which we can choose our foods, but primarily desserts, are the Glycemic Index (GI) and the Glycemic Load (GL). Specialized doctors and nutritionists/ dieticians suggest the GI system as part of a food’s choice scheme.
All the desserts of the Sweet & Balance series have specially designed compositions with low Glycemic Index (GI) and low Glycemic Load (GL).
