Project Description
The clinical study followed people who adhered to a balanced, low calorie diet programme for three months. This programme included products from
the Sweet & Balance range which were consumed 4 times a week with dietary monitoring. The study measured indicators linked to metabolic syndrome and chronic inflammation which leads to cardiovascular disease, and also measured indicators of renal and hepatic function. The conclusion of the study was that the consumption of Sweet & Balance products containing extracts from the stevia plant in patients with metabolic syndrome is completely safe with respect to renal and hepatic function, and also leads to weight loss, significantly reduces BMI, blood pressure (systolic and diastolic) and the oxidization of bad cholesterol.
